December 11 and 12, 2009: Lynx Loppett: Kincaid Park: GCS's one race series in Anchorage! skiers are split into just two classes, Varsity (7) and Junior Varsity, Female and Male. Waxing starts 10 am. Race Starts 1:30. There are 4 races the second day\ with qualification based on first day races. 400 of 750 from 21 teams will advance: BoysV, BoysJV, GirlsV, and GirlsJV. Only the top 100 get to ski in each class. Race Equipment. Thursday 12/10: Wax/Movies/Dinner at Arnolds: 5:30-8:00 pm. January 9th Sat: Seward SKATE Race. 5.5 Km for Boys, girls, varsity, JV and open. Location is 15-miles up road from school- we will have WARM bus!- Seward has had rain. After Boy's and Girl's races, there will be an Open race. Director: Bob Barnwell. Grace will travel by bus leaving school at 7:00 am Saturday, expected return 6-7 pm. Coaches and Captains will wax all skis turned in at Thursday practice or left on Ski Cart during school Friday. Mandatory Stuff to Bring! Gallery from 2009 Seward Race. January 15-16: Kenai Klassic: Friday January 15th – Day One (Mass Starts) Boys 10K, Girls 7.5K
1:00pm Varsity Boys,  1:05pm JV Boys, 2:15pm Varsity Girls, 2:20pm JV Girls:                                      Coaches Meeting:  12pm  Kenai Golf Course in the parking lot.  Will hand out bibs, course maps, and go over start information.  Waxing:  Please come with glide wax already on skis.   There are no inside facilities at the golf course, please have your bus stay on site.  Port-a-potties on site. Due to ice- venue switched to Skyview: Andrew Arnold wins Boy's Varsity and Sarah Cresap 7th.
Saturday January 16th – Day Two Classic Sprint Race:  Race order yet to be determined.  We are working on the details. We plan on starting the race at 11am.  Sarah Cresap 4th and Andrew Arnold 7th. Awards: RESULTS Skate | RESULTS Classic Sprint

Regions (3): Weather permitting will be Two Days at Skyview. 2/19 Girls 3K/Boys 5K 2:00 pm with Saturday Chevron Mass Start 7.5K girls and 10K boys at SKYVIEW. February 25-27: State: Birch Hill, Fairbanks\ Terms and Conditions | Schedule | Points | State Results | Gallery | Team Photo | Lodging: Wedgewood (Call 800.528.4916 | rooms@fdifairbanks.com). Travel: Grace will fly this year. Team. The team scores are based on the times of the top four finishers in each race. That score is added to the relay score to determine the final place finish of each team. Awards: An awards ceremony will be held following each day’s results. Medals for the top ten racers overall and the top three racers in 2A/3A classifications will be presented. Following the final day’s competition, team awards, skimeister, All-State Team and Good Sport Team awards will be presented.
Team Awards:
• 1st and 2nd Place Team Trophies, • Academic award plaque for one team overall • Plaque for top 2A/3A boys and girls teams overall
Individual Awards:
• Medals for members of the first and second place teams overall and top 2A/3A teams both boys and girls. Day 1 Skate Sarah Cresap First (23rd overall), Andrew Arnold first (15th overall), Jacob Kirk second(25th overall). Day 2 Classic: Sarah Cresap first, Andrew Arnold first (12th overall), Jacob Kirk second (38th overall).
• Medals for the top ten individuals overall and top three 2A/3A racers for each individual event.
• Good Sport Tee-shirts and certificates for one boy and one girl from each team of five or more selected by their coach.
• Certificates for the top ten boys and girls from the skimeister ranking and recognition as the All-State Team.
